The climate in Madrid suffers an extreme oscilation, both in heat and cold weather. It is dry and the temperatures change gradually.

Normally in Madrid, Spain, the winters are cold and during the night hours the temperatures usually drop to below 0ºcelsius. In the month January it is typical to see it snow, although in the urban center it usually just melts away. In the springtime it´s climate changes to warmer temperatures and the wind begins to pick up a little bit, the rainy season begins and the days start having more hours of sunlight. During the summer the temperatures are elevated and you could even say it´s hot. The good thing about this, is that you can go out at night wearing light summer clothing with no need for a jacket.
